God takes the mundane and transitions it to magnificent.
For example, morning drives.
I was doing my ordinary commute to class with the to-go coffee mug in hand (of course) when I took notice to the most extraordinary sunset. Did it really look much different than any of the other incredible sunrises we see on a clear morning? No. And that's kind of the point.
That morning I looked at that sunrise and thought, "what did I do deserve this?" What did any human ever do to hook us up with the gift of a one-of-a-kind, vast, exquisite, vivid sunrise? NOTHING. In a season of humanity where our broken ways are abundant and amplified, I was awestruck to realize that God still chooses to wake us up with a once in a lifetime painting in the sky.
He is here. He is redeeming. His blessings are greater than the world's burdens.
Are you waiting for them?
